Public Institution for the Development of Međimurje County REDEA (Public Institution REDEA) is an organization responsible for coordination of the process of regional development, established by the Međimurje County (regional authority).
The history of structured activities in the field of regional development in Međimurje goes back to the year 2004 with projects funded through the pre-accession instruments. REDEA was reorganized in 2018 and starts working as a public institution solely for initiatives and projects for the public sector. We have 25 employees specialized in different fields including strategic planning, entrepreneurship, investment promotion, agriculture, tourism, and social welfare initiatives focused on health, education, labour market, culture and sport. During the period of nearly two decades, we have accumulated a significant experience and knowledge and have implemented national, cross-border and transnational projects of a total value of 83.071.530,80 EUR.

Public Institution REDEA is an organization which supports regional development of Medjimurje County though strategic planning and different initiatives and projects in various areas such as entrepreneurship, tourism, circular economy, agriculture, environment protection, research and innovation, labour market, education, healthcare, culture, sport and more.
Beside projects funded through national operational programmes financed by the corresponding ESI Fund (Cohesion Fund, European Regional Development Fund, European Social Fund, European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development Fund), we have experience with Interreg programmes, i.e. cross-border cooperation with Hungary and Slovenia, transnational programmes Danube, Central Europe, Adrion and Europe, as well as with Horizon 2020, Life and Erasmus+.
